Stop understanding the pattern. Start changing it.

You've done the self-reflection. So why are you still putting yourself last?

Somatic talk therapy for women who are tired of people-pleasing, overfunctioning, and knowing better without feeling different.

Now accepting new clients.

“Ever make mistakes in life? Let’s make them birds. Yeah, they’re birds now.”

- Bob Ross

You can explain the pattern. So why is this still happening?

You might be the person everyone counts on. You're thoughtful, capable, self-aware, and good at figuring things out. But being the dependable one comes at a cost.

  • You say yes before you've checked
    in with yourself.

  • You replay conversations and worry about disappointing people.

  • You take responsibility for other people's feelings.

  • You know your boundaries but struggle to hold them.

  • You keep pushing through exhaustion because slowing down feels uncomfortable.

  • You understand where these patterns came from, but you still find yourself repeating them.

You aren't lacking insight. You're looking for a way to experience and respond to life differently.

Why insight isn't enough

Understanding why you do something doesn’t automatically change how you experience life. You can know where your people-pleasing comes from and still struggle to say no. That’s because patterns aren’t just thoughts. They can be deeply ingrained responses in your body, too. Real change happens when insight meets experience, helping you practice new ways of responding, not just understand the old ones.

How somatic talk therapy works

In our sessions, we'll combine conversation and reflection with body-based practices, emotional awareness, and practical tools. We'll explore what happens in the moments you override your needs, have trouble saying no, or feel responsible for keeping everyone happy.

The goal isn't simply to understand yourself better. It's to build more room for choice, so you can begin responding in ways that reflect what you actually need and value.

What can I expect in our first session?

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. I’ll ask some questions to better understand what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and any relevant background. You’re also welcome to ask me questions; about my approach, what therapy might look like, or anything else you’re wondering. The goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, engaged in the therapeutic process, and excited about moving forward.

How long will sessions and the course of therapy last?

Sessions will last around 53 minutes and can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly, according to your preferences, availability, and needs.  Many clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency, but we can adjust frequency based on your needs and goals.

The course of therapy may run anywhere between twelve weeks and indefinitely. Some clients may need a few months of therapy to kickstart their healing and get themselves back on track. Some clients are “lifers” and find the routine check-ins and therapeutic rapport beneficial to their wellbeing for years. And anywhere in between. The answer depends on a variety of factors but will absolutely be something we discuss.
